The NIACC Food Court staff presented a friendly challenge to the students and staff involving food on Tuesday, September 8. The challenge was to toss a football into a specified target to win a free hamburger.

Ken Webber, director of NIACC Food Service, developed the idea of a football toss in order to create a fun day for the students and promote the Food Court.

The football toss was a success. Whether it was for the free food or to test their athleticism, an estimated 200 students and staff participated in the event.

Barb Scharper, a Food Court staff employee who worked the event, said students seemed to be having a blast, and the Food Court was planning on doing the football toss again in the near future.

“The kids had a good time, and it brought in students, who didn’t realize they could utilize the Food Court,” Scharper said.
