Who can join Phi Theta Kappa?

The eligibility requirements for the Alpha Psi Beta chapter are a NIACC grade point average of 3.50 and the completion of 24 hours of coursework leading to an associate degree.

How do I join Phi Theta Kappa?

Each semester Alpha Psi Beta sends out invitation letters to students who satisfy the eligibility requirements. An informational meeting is held shortly after the letters have been received by qualified students. The purpose of this meeting is to provide more information about the organization and to answer any questions prospective members may have.

Do I have to maintain a certain G.P.A. to remain in Phi Theta Kappa?

Yes, Phi Theta Kappa members must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.25. If a member's cumulative GPA drops below 3.25, she/he will be placed on probation for one semester. If a member does not bring up her/his GPA after this time, the individual's membership will be dropped.
