About the NIACC Ski
and Snowboard Club
The NIACC Ski and Snowboard Club (also
known as the Ski Club) is an outdoor snow-sports student organization at North Iowa Area Community
College. We are the premier ski and
snowboard club in North Iowa. Our winter
outings have included several weekend day-trips to
Minnesota ski resorts - Mount Kato, Afton Alps, and Welch Village,
as well as Seven Oaks in Iowa. There are some great local cross country
skiing trails in our area. We
take a trip to the Rocky Mountains for Spring Break
every year and have been to several resorts in Colorado and to
Whitefish Mountain Resort in Whitefish, Montana. The club negotiates
competitive lift ticket and transportation rates. Fundraisers will also
reduce the cost to club
members. It's great fun
to go skiing or snowboarding with
a group. At the end of the day you can sit back and enjoy the
bus ride home without the worry of driving.
